Bargarh : The new poetry collection ‘Kabita O Koha’ by Sambalpuri poet Prashant Meher was unveiled in London. The book was unveiled at the 46th Annual Convention of the Odisha Society of the United Kingdom (OSUK). The poet belongs to Jamala village of Padampur in Bargarh district.

This is Prashant Meher’s third poetry collection. Currently residing in Dubai, Meher’s poetry reflects his memories of Odisha, the fragrance of Sambalpuri literature, and his life experiences. His first book ‘Maatir Mahak’ was unveiled in Dubai while his second book ‘Maatir Surta’ was launched in Bangalore. Both the books received great response from readers.

The collection features 31 poems, showcasing the author’s emotions, experiences, and dreams. Meher’s writing in Odia and Sambalpuri has earned him a unique place among readers.

The book release event was attended by notable TV personality and writer Kuna Tripathy, Padma Shri Adwaita Gadanayak, OSUK President Bishwajeet Padhan, and Secretary Sukanta Sahu.

The book release in London has been described as a moment of pride for Bargarh by the locals. The OSUK team, which organized this literary event in a foreign land, has received congratulations and gratitude from all quarters.
